Tetela de Ocampo City Council Member Arrested

A local council member for the Tetela de Ocampo City Council in Puebla was arrested with 102 packets of meth and four rounds of ammunition. Authorities did not provide the exact weight quantity of the drugs. According to the Puebla Secretary of Public Security, the council member, identified as Jesenia M, was arrested alongside Anastacio V, known as “Don Tacho.” Authorities reported that both were arrested after police stopped their vehicle for speeding. They were driving a Volkswagen Jetta with Mexico City license plates.

The Ministry of Public Security stated that Anastacio is an alleged member of “Los Negros,” a local criminal group dedicated to illegal logging, extortion, and drug dealing in the municipalities of Tetela de Ocampo, Aquixtla, Cuautempan, and Ixtacamaxtitlán.
